04.10.2024 - 13:29The Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the second reading of draft law No. 11416-d, which proposes increasing taxes.
This information was shared by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel.
Nineteen deputies voted in favor of advancing the bill, while only one voted against it.
The current version of the document includes the following provisions:
- An increase in the military tax from 1.5% to 5%;
- Introduction of a military tax for individual entrepreneurs (known as FOPs in Ukraine);
- A 50% tax on banks;
- An increase in the minimum tax liability for land;
- A 25% tax on profits for financial companies;
- Tax exemption for cashback rewards;
- Transition to monthly reporting for personal income tax (PIT);
- An increase in rent for gravel extraction.
Some of these measures will take effect retroactively, meaning that Ukrainians will see a reduction in their salaries as early as October.
Additionally, the parliament is planning to reinstate the tax on international parcels valued up to 150 euros. According to Danylo Hetmantsev, the taxation of such parcels is being demanded by both retail chains and domestic manufacturers.
