“The time until Trump’s inauguration will be the most difficult in Ukraine’s history,” – Ukraine’s ambassador to Brazil Melnyk says

Eight weeks before the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump “will be the most difficult period in Ukraine’s history since 1991.”

This was stated by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Brazil, Andriy Melnyk.

“When the day of the inauguration comes, I fear that by that time a decision will already have been made, and it will be harder for us,” Melnyk believes.

The ambassador urges Ukrainian diplomacy to actively engage with Trump during this period, as it is now that he is considering possible approaches regarding the situation in Ukraine.

“The worst part is that really some decisions will be imposed on Ukraine over our heads,” Melnyk adds.

It is worth recalling that yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Trump would present his plan for ending the war in Ukraine as early as January.

“I want to see the proposals of the new president of the United States. I think we will see these proposals in January. And I think we will have a plan to end this war,” said the Commander-in-Chief.

A day earlier, a U.S. congressman stated that Trump had met with Putin and discussed Ukraine.

According to the congressman, the Russian president did not heed the Republican’s request to refrain from further escalating the war.
