Ukrainian soldiers complain about the poor quality of fortifications, – Le Point

Amid the ongoing retreat, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are complaining about the poor quality of fortifications at new positions.

This was reported by the French publication Le Point, citing Ukrainian military sources.

“The lack of defensive positions or their low quality is repeatedly highlighted in criticisms from Ukrainian soldiers on the ground,” the article states.

An anonymous Ukrainian intelligence officer told the publication that the problems with fortifications are related to the fact that government funds allocated for fortifications “simply disappeared.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine began an investigation into the supply of poor-quality mines to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is noted that among the reasons for the malfunctioning of shells could be poor-quality gunpowder charges and violations in storage conditions.
