Near Pokrovsk, Russians captured a Ukrainian Armed Forces fortified area without a fight – Butusov

Near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, a fortified area was constructed for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), but no soldiers were deployed there, allowing Russian forces to take it without a fight.

This was reported by journalist Yuriy Butusov.

“A key, finally well-constructed fortified area was built near Pokrovsk for several tens of millions of hryvnias, but due to certain inadequate management decisions by the command, our soldiers were not deployed there in time,” Butusov stated.

“Now, the key tactical fortified area has already been seized by the enemy without resistance. They entered it before the military command sent even a single person there. As a result, tens of millions were spent, and this entire fortified area was essentially handed over to Russian forces by our command,” he added.

Previously, Ukrainian soldiers reported that the distance from the city of Pokrovsk to the front line had shrunk to 2–2.5 kilometers.

It’s worth noting that Serhiy Filimonov, the commander of the 108th Separate Mechanized Battalion “Da Vinci Wolves,” accused the AFU command of enabling Russian forces to advance near Pokrovsk.
