Ukrainian Law enforcement detains Head of the gambling and lottery regulation commission on suspicion of aiding Russia and drug trafficking
20.12.2024 - 14:36Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Havryliuk stated that demobilization is currently impossible due to a lack of reserves, despite the fact that a draft law has already been prepared.
He made this statement while answering questions in parliament.
“The draft law [on demobilization] is practically developed and ready to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada through the Cabinet of Ministers. However, until we prepare military reserves to replace those currently fighting on the front lines, it is practically impossible to implement it, as this would lead to the loss of the state,” Havryliuk said.
It is worth noting that Member of Parliament Inna Sovsun recently pointed out that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine missed the deadlines by which it was required to draft the demobilization law.
Previously, the Sluga Naroda party hinted that the refusal to proceed with demobilization is a demand from Western partners.
