Fico claimed that Zelensky offered him 500 million for Ukraine’s NATO membership
21.12.2024 - 13:20Germany has once again ruled out sending troops to Ukraine while the war is ongoing.
“I want to make one thing clear: as long as the war continues, there will be no German soldiers on Ukrainian soil,” the head of the defense ministry said.
However, he did not rule out the possibility of considering such a question in the event of a ceasefire.
According to Pistorius, it will be necessary to determine “whether there is a demarcation line, a buffer zone, or a peacekeeping area where armed forces can ensure peace.”
“But one thing is clear: Germany, as the largest NATO country in Europe and the largest economy in Europe, will not be able to stand aside,” Pistorius added.
Previously, Pistorius had mentioned that Germany would be ready to send peacekeepers to Ukraine on the condition that Russia agrees to it.
The German defense minister emphasized that it is still too early to make such decisions, as there are currently no signs of negotiations or a ceasefire.
