“Along the entire frontline, it’s a disaster.” Biletsky accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ command of incompetence
15.01.2025 - 05:29Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the United States and Ukraine of intending to destroy the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, which supplies natural gas to southern European countries.
“The United States is endorsing terrorist activities aimed at destroying the foundation of the EU’s energy well-being. They are inciting their Ukrainian clients to disable the Turkish Stream pipeline, following the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines,” stated the Russian Foreign Minister.
Earlier, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported an attempted drone attack on the Russkaya compressor station in the Krasnodar region, which supplies gas through the Turkish Stream pipeline. This pipeline delivers gas to southern Europe.
According to the Ministry of Defense, all drones were shot down, and the debris from one of them caused “minor damage” to the building and equipment at the compressor station. However, the damage was “quickly repaired,” and gas supplies continued in “normal mode,” with “no disruptions to operations.”
At the end of December, Russian media reported strikes near the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Bryansk region, specifically in the village of Mamai during the night. The Druzhba pipeline transports oil from Russia to Europe via Belarus.
The pipeline was not damaged, although a technical building in the area sustained partial destruction. Russian online forums blamed Ukraine for the attack, alleging the use of a “Peklo” drone missile.
It is also reported that the far-right German party Alternative for Germany (AfD) plans to restart the Nord Stream pipeline if it comes to power.
