17.01.2025 - 08:08Ukraine is introducing new targeted payments. The state services app “Diia” now includes a new option allowing combat veterans and people with war-related disabilities to apply for a payment of 1,500 hryvnias (€34.5) for sports activities. This amount is allocated for three months.
This was reported by the press service of Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation.
To apply, follow these three steps:
- In “Diia,” go to the “Services” menu and select the “Veteran Sports” service.
- Open the “Diia.Card” or select a card from the available options for the payment to be credited.
- Submit an application for the payment.
Applications must be submitted between the 1st and 20th of each quarter, starting in January. The 1,500 hryvnias can be spent at any sports facility operating under MCC code 7941.
If the funds are not fully utilized, they will be returned to the accounts of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, and the individual will automatically receive a new payment in the next quarter.
Earlier, the government launched a new program allowing Ukrainians who turn 18 in 2024 to receive 908 hryvnias (€21) for purchasing books in Ukrainian.
