Musician Makarevich, who supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine after Russia’s invasion, refused to send money to Ukrainian soldiers

Russian musician and singer Andrei Makarevich, frontman of the band “Mashina Vremeni,” who previously expressed support for Ukraine, has stated that he does not assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

In an interview with the German outlet Deutsche Welle.

Makarevich explained, “I don’t help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It’s difficult for me to put this into words right now. But… I don’t want a missile, funded with my money, to fall on Moscow and kill my son, for example.”

It’s worth noting that back in 2022, Russia created a list of artists whose performances were deemed undesirable within the country, and Andrei Makarevich was included in that list.

Additionally, Makarevich recently faced challenges organizing concerts in Kazakhstan after publicly expressing support for Israel.
