02.03.2025 - 18:51Following a public dispute between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and former U.S. President Donald Trump, former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovych, has called on residents of Kyiv-controlled territories to “pack their emergency bags.”
Relevant statements appeared on the former official’s social media accounts.
“Before the war started, I once said that people could unpack their emergency bags. Today, I say: just in case, you might want to pack them again,” the former presidential adviser stated.
Arestovych issued this warning in light of Zelensky’s personal stance and the support he has received from Europe.
“Europe and Zelensky have voted for the continuation of the war,” wrote the former presidential adviser.
“Zelensky is proposing war. And not just war, but war without American assistance. Soldiers will pay for this with their lives. Civilians will pay for this with their lives. The future conditions of peace for Ukraine will be worse,” he believes.
Arestovych added that “with Zelensky, we are heading towards a senseless defeat under much worse conditions and with even greater sacrifices.”
At the same time, he argues that Europe will not be able to provide significant assistance to Ukraine, as it lacks the necessary amount of weaponry. He also claims that the European Union and Britain have been “infected with the Ukrainian disease.” Furthermore, he believes that European countries will not be able to withstand the diplomatic positions of the U.S., Russia, and China, which generally agree on the need for a settlement of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“The consequences of ‘support from Europe and Britain’ will soon become evident on the front lines and in the rear,” Arestovych warns.
