The preparation for a meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin has accelerated – CNN

Negotiations aimed at restoring relations between the U.S. and Russia will continue and even accelerate in the coming weeks.

This information reported according to CNN, citing sources.

“Nothing has been publicly announced, but behind the scenes, there are discussions that the Trump-Putin summit, which has always been on the agenda, will now be fast-tracked,” the report states.

Additionally, preparations are underway for a “second round” of U.S.-Russia talks, which could soon take place in one of the Gulf states.

“Regardless of whether this was planned or not, Moscow—having celebrated the recent White House dispute—is now expecting that negotiations to restore U.S.-Russia relations will continue and even speed up in the coming weeks,” CNN reports.

Meanwhile, Trump has urged Americans “not to worry about Putin” to avoid “ending up like Europe.”

“We should worry less about Putin and more about the gangs of rapist migrants, drug lords, murderers, and people from psychiatric institutions entering our country—so that we don’t end up like Europe!” the U.S. president wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Earlier, Trump stated that he “trusts” Putin regarding a ceasefire agreement.
