Peskov made this statement in an interview with Russian media outlets.
“Such an option cannot be ruled out. However, there are no concrete details on this matter yet,” the Kremlin spokesman said when asked about the possibility of a meeting between the two leaders in Saudi Arabia.
When asked whether their personal meeting was discussed during recent phone talks, Peskov replied negatively:
“Not yesterday. But there is a general understanding that such a meeting could take place in the future.”
Earlier, U.S. Special Representative Stephen Witkoff mentioned the possibility of a Trump-Putin meeting specifically in Saudi Arabia.
It is worth noting that on March 18, Trump had a phone conversation with Putin.
