05.05.2025 - 06:06Leader of the French party “The Patriots” Florian Philippot called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky insane following Zelensky’s statement that Kyiv cannot guarantee the safety of foreign leaders attending the Victory Day parade in Moscow.
The European politician posted about it on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“He’s completely insane!” Philippot wrote.
He considered Zelensky’s statement a reckless outburst and suggested that such behavior might be encouraged by EU countries, particularly French President Emmanuel Macron.
The politician also called for peace in Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described Zelensky’s warning about the Victory Day parade as a direct threat. According to her, the Ukrainian leader is betraying the memory of his ancestors, since many veterans would be gathering on Red Square for the celebration.
