Came to lay flowers in Glory Park: police in Kyiv detained an elderly woman for wearing a side cap with a red star
09.05.2025 - 17:50The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC) has denied a man’s claim that a military officer broke his thigh with a kick during a street mobilization attempt. The agency stated that the man was not beaten, but was hit by a car while fleeing from the recruiters and crossing a busy road.
This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional TRC:
“A video is circulating on social media in which a civilian claims he was allegedly beaten by servicemen of the TRC. We clarify: on May 1, 2025, near Donetsk Highway in Dnipro, a notification group made up of TRC servicemen and National Police officers was conducting mobilization outreach. Upon seeing the group exit their vehicle, two civilians on the sidewalk began to flee. One ran along the road; the other crossed the highway with heavy traffic and was struck by a passenger car. The driver fled the scene. Police and servicemen called an ambulance for the injured man. The TRC further asserted that the man’s claim of being beaten by police or military personnel is false and stems from his own traffic violation and recklessness. Additionally, it has been established that the individual is wanted for violating military registration laws. The National Police is conducting an investigation to determine the full circumstances. TRC leadership is fully cooperating with the investigation”.
The TRC also urged the public to approach such videos critically, verify information sources, and refrain from spreading content that could be elements of hostile propaganda or tools of psychological influence.
As a reminder, the injured man claimed he was grazed by a car mirror, but said the actual fracture was caused by a powerful kick from a muscular recruiter.
