In Austria, Zelensky hinted that the U.S. will no longer provide military aid to Ukraine

The United States will not allocate new military aid to Ukraine at this time.

This information reported according to statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen.

Zelensky said he plans to propose to U.S. President Donald Trump, at the upcoming G7 summit, that Ukraine be allowed to purchase weapons from the United States:

“Today, we are not talking with America about new aid. One of the topics I will discuss with President Trump at this meeting concerns a defense package that Ukraine is ready to buy. And that’s what we’ll talk about. I’m confident we’ll have that opportunity — at least I’m counting on it,” Zelensky said.

In turn, Van der Bellen stated that Austria would not be able to provide military assistance to Ukraine, even if it wanted to, due to its constitutional neutrality.

However, he added that Austria is interested in participating in Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction, saying:

“Frankly speaking, out of our own economic interests.”
