In Austria, Zelensky hinted that the U.S. will no longer provide military aid to Ukraine
16.06.2025 - 20:45The Donetsk Administrative Court has ruled that Vitaliy Shabunin, head of Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Action Center, must pay ₴126,400 (approx. €2,650) in taxes.
The court’s verdict was published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
The lawsuit was filed by the Kyiv tax authority, based on Shabunin’s 2021 tax declaration.
Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Boiko reported that the case is linked to donations Shabunin received in 2020 after a fire damaged his house. At that time, the tax office calculated he owed ₴227,000 (around €4,760) in income tax, but he only paid ₴101,000 (about €2,120).
Shabunin argued against the collection of the remaining debt by citing his mobilization at the start of the full-scale war. However, the court ultimately sided with the tax authority.
It’s worth noting that a previous court ruling found that while Shabunin was officially serving in the military, he avoided deployment to combat zones and remained in Kyiv.
