19.06.2025 - 09:50Fuel prices in Ukraine could rise sharply.
This information reported according to Volodymyr Omelchenko, Director of Energy Programs at the Razumkov Center, in a comment to the media.
He believes that due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, the price of gasoline could increase to 65 hryvnias per liter (approximately €1.36).
“The price is already going up, although the ripple effect hasn’t fully reached our petroleum products yet. Still, some fuel networks are reacting under this pretext and trying to earn windfall profits,” Omelchenko commented.
Earlier, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that the price of a pack of cigarettes will rise by 40 hryvnias (€0.84) after the signing of a new law.
As a reminder, Ukraine’s State Statistics Service recently recorded a new rise in inflation.
