Putin announced contacts with the U.S. Secretary of State and Vice President

Moscow maintains contacts with representatives of the United States.

This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with heads of international news agencies in St. Petersburg.

In particular, Russia is holding talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, according to Putin.

Earlier, Putin also commented on a possible upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. He said such a dialogue would be useful but emphasized that the meeting must be well-prepared.

Additionally, Putin expressed agreement with Trump’s views on the origins of the conflict in Ukraine. He suggested that had Trump been in office, the crisis might have been avoided.
