NATO Secretary General tried to scare the British by switching to Russian

Britons will have to defend themselves to preserve the “British language” and avoid ending up speaking Russian.

This is how NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte attempted to alarm UK residents, according to The Guardian.

“If you want to keep speaking British and not switch to Russian in London, then you need to defend yourselves — and defend yourselves against Russia, which is now producing four times more ammunition than all of NATO,” he warned.

On June 9, Rutte also stated that NATO member countries must increase military spending to 5% of their GDP — otherwise, he said, they may end up learning Russian.

When asked whether he agreed with Rutte’s remarks, UK Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Tony Radakin simply responded in Russian: “Нет” (“No”).
