Ukrainian MP pointed out a contradiction in statements by Trump and Zelensky
25.06.2025 - 17:39The North Atlantic Alliance believes that fighting may intensify this summer, and Ukraine is expected to face increased pressure along the front lines.
This was stated at the NATO summit by a senior Alliance official who wished to remain anonymous.
“We expect Russia to continue its tactic of incremental gains,” the NATO representative said.
He also noted that military activity is likely to intensify in the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions.
“As for expectations this summer — we anticipate movement in the Sumy region. In the Zaporizhzhia region, we also expect escalation,” he added.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán explained why Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO is not realistic. He pointed out that Kyiv no longer has financial resources. Consequently, if Ukraine were to join the European Union, the bloc would have to finance Ukrainian pensions, salaries of public sector employees, and the country’s military.
