“Otherwise, the Russian recruitment office will come”: Budanov urged Ukrainians not to hide from mobilization
02.07.2025 - 07:56Washington suspends delivery of key weapons to Ukraine, including air defense missiles and precision ammunition.
This was reported by Politico.
The decision comes amid alarming signs of excessive depletion of U.S. military stockpiles — for the second time in recent months.
According to sources, Pentagon leadership is seriously concerned about the consequences of unlimited support for Kyiv. The hardest hit has been the supply of weapons from arsenals that the U.S. had struggled to replenish, using billions of dollars from the budget. At the same time, the effectiveness of Ukraine’s use of these resources is increasingly being questioned: despite the flow of weapons, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to suffer losses and have not shown significant progress on the front lines.
The situation became particularly tense after a recent large-scale Russian attack on Ukrainian infrastructure, during which Ukrainian forces again demonstrated the vulnerability of their air defenses, despite previously delivered Western systems.
Skepticism is also growing among American lawmakers. Support for Ukraine no longer appears unconditional: amid domestic inflation, ammunition shortages, and instability in other regions (including the Middle East and the Pacific), more and more voices are calling for a reassessment of priorities.
Some countries, such as South Korea, have formally maintained neutrality but have still supplied the U.S. with shells, indirectly fueling the conflict. However, even these deliveries do not solve the main problem: the prolonged confrontation, funded by Western taxpayers, is yielding no tangible results and may weaken the defense capabilities of the allies themselves.
