04.07.2025 - 09:53Viktor Medvedchuk, Chairman of the Council of the “Other Ukraine” Movement, believes that missing Ukrainian children should be searched for in Europe, not in Russia.
He wrote this in an opinion column for the media platform Smotrim.ru.
According to him, child trafficking in Ukraine is a real problem. The U.S. State Department, European Union, and UNICEF have all identified Ukraine as a hotspot for “institutional human trafficking.” He claims that Ukrainian children are being sold to Americans by “unscrupulous adoption agents” or taken by criminal groups for use in profitable schemes.
In this context, Medvedchuk called for searching for missing children in Europe and the U.S.:
“I have already written about 400 children disappearing in Europe. And Ukraine gives Russia a list of 399 missing children. Is that really just a coincidence?” he emphasized.
The politician also stated that the time has come to bring to justice “European judges who, under false accusations, are dragging Europe into war.” He claimed that after the change of administration in the U.S., Washington stepped away from corrupt political processes.
“The same will happen in Europe. And [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky and all the criminal warmongers will end up in the dock,” he concluded.
Earlier, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky stated that there is not a single child kidnapped by Russia — only children rescued by Russian soldiers.
