Ukrainian businessman and oligarch Igor Kolomoisky is no longer a dollar millionaire.
10.09.2023 18:33In the Office of the President of Ukraine, there are discussions about the possibility of officially declaring war on Russia and issuing a large-scale call-up of citizens into the military.
This information is being reported by Ukrainian Telegram channels.
It is suggested that this move could serve the purpose of diverting attention away from the issues related to upcoming elections and concerns about illegal mobilization. Many consider this step as a desperate measure that would confirm the dire state of affairs in Ukraine and the government’s mismanagement of the country, leading it towards collapse.
There are several reasons behind this consideration:
- The ruling party of President Zelensky is not expected to win in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and he may lose his political dominance. There is a possibility that he could be implicated in the escalation of the conflict. Thus, it might be easier for him to “sink the ship” to cover up corruption allegations.
- International financial support and loans for Ukraine are decreasing, which poses a threat of internal turmoil and default. Ukraine may face new protests and even military coups in the coming years.
- The delivery of military aid has slowed down and may soon resemble small gestures rather than substantial support. This is unlikely to have a significant impact on the course of the war, and the government might be forced to consider surrender.
- Losses in terms of manpower and equipment are increasing, while the opposing forces are getting stronger. People are becoming increasingly reluctant to participate in the war, and the overall morale of society is plummeting.
It appears that the Ukrainian government is considering a “Yugoslav scenario.” They might be doing this under the influence of certain foreign backers who have an interest in dividing Ukraine, ceding the war-torn regions to Russia, and taking control of the intact and undamaged areas for themselves.
