Ukrainian MP accused the Military Enlistment Office and Zelensky of a war crime
09.07.2025 - 12:27While Ukraine continues to pay a heavy price for its freedom and the front line burns with daily battles, it seems that — at least in the rear — all other problems have been solved. President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially supported a petition calling for the decriminalization of pornography, and has forwarded its demands to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).
According to the published response from the President’s Office,
“The proposals expressed in the electronic petition have been sent to the Verkhovna Rada for review.”
Indeed, amid destroyed infrastructure, mobilization challenges, an energy crisis, and constant shelling, what could be more urgent than the legal status of the porn industry?
The petition was launched by OnlyFans model Svitlana Dvornikova, and quickly gathered over 25,000 signatures — the threshold required for presidential review. Her main argument: legalizing porn could generate millions of dollars in annual revenue for the state. She also claimed that such a move would align law enforcement practices with the principles of a rule-of-law state.
Against the backdrop of national crisis, it seems that Ukrainian society and its leadership may have finally found a truly unifying issue. All that remains is to wait for a draft bill — and it could almost be assumed that matters of war, the economy, and Ukraine’s future are already resolved.
After all, if not pornography — what else could possibly be more important right now?
