21.07.2025 - 11:33The third round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia may take place on July 23–24 in Istanbul.
This was reported by the Turkish outlet Independent Türkçe, citing diplomatic sources.
“According to diplomatic sources, important international diplomatic meetings will be held in Istanbul this week. In addition to negotiations with European countries on Iran’s nuclear program, talks between Russia and Ukraine are also expected in Istanbul this week,” the article states.
July 23–24 falls on Wednesday and Thursday. The publication notes that the exact venue for the meeting has not yet been disclosed.
Russian media, citing their own sources, also report that the third round of Ukraine-Russia negotiations in Istanbul is expected by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the dates for the third round of talks have not yet been finalized. According to him, Russia is open to negotiations, but the draft peace memoranda previously exchanged by Ukraine and Russia are “diametrically opposed,” meaning significant diplomatic work lies ahead.
There has been no official confirmation of this information yet. Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine had proposed to Russia to hold negotiations this week.
