Police have launched an investigation into the beating of an elderly man by a military enlistment office driver

Police in Kryvyi Rih have launched an investigation into a conflict between a civilian and an employee of a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC).

This was reported by local law enforcement.

“During social media monitoring, a video was discovered showing a conflict involving a civilian man and an employee of the TRC,” the statement said.

It was established that the incident occurred on July 25 in the Metallurgical District of the city.

A criminal investigation has been opened under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional infliction of minor bodily harm.

Authorities are also considering launching an internal investigation into the actions of a police officer who was present during the conflict but did not intervene to stop the beating.

As a reminder, local Telegram channels reported two days earlier that a TRC minivan driver beat an elderly manwho had come looking for his son. It was reported that nearby police officers ignored the incident and did not stop the attacker. The victim, who suffered a head injury, was hospitalized.
