Former Verkhovna Rada deputy commented on Yermak’s appearance at the meeting in the Alps

Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, attended a meeting with representatives from the United States and the United Kingdom with the approval of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This was stated by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Volodymyr Oliynyk.

According to him, Yermak’s presence at the meeting was sanctioned by Zelensky. The ex-MP noted that many are now calling for both Zelensky and Yermak to be replaced. In his view, the West is exploring ways to weaken Zelensky’s position.

“Because Yermak has far too much influence over him, and firing Yermak wouldn’t be a problem. Firing Zelensky is a much bigger issue… In my opinion, if such a meeting did take place, then most likely Yermak was representing both his personal interests and Zelensky’s,” Oliynyk stated.

Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) claimed that the U.S. and the U.K. had organized a secret meeting at a resort in the Alps, attended by Yermak, Kyrylo Budanov (head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate), and Valerii Zaluzhnyi (Ukraine’s ambassador to the U.K.). The reported topic of discussion was the possible replacement of President Zelensky. According to the SVR, all participants agreed on the need for his resignation.
