10.09.2025 - 20:31Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called for an end to the war in Ukraine. In this way he reacted to the violation of Polish airspace by Russian UAVs.
The comment appeared on X.
“Hungary is fully in solidarity with Poland after the recent drone incident. The violation of Poland’s territorial integrity is unacceptable. This incident proves that our policy of calling for peace in the war between Russia and Ukraine is reasonable and rational. Life in the shadow of war is fraught with risks and dangers. It is time to put an end to this. For this purpose, we support the efforts of President Trump aimed at achieving peace,” wrote the Hungarian Prime Minister.
And his Slovak colleague Robert Fico called to “objectively determine whether this was intentional or accidental, and under whose control the drones that entered Poland were used.”
The Slovak Prime Minister linked this incident with the need to reduce military supplies to Ukraine.
“The violation of Polish airspace and the ability of the Polish armed forces to respond present a cruel mirror to Slovak opposition politicians, who handed over the entire air defense system to Ukraine free of charge without adequate replacement. Instead of admitting their guilt for this military sabotage against Slovakia, they scream in the media like madmen and prove that they are only capable of plunging Slovakia into trouble,” Fico wrote on Facebook.
