The supply of Azerbaijani gas to Ukraine has stopped

Gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Ukraine have stopped.

This is evidenced by hydrocarbon import statistics.

Thus, in the first 10 days of September, 236 million cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to Ukraine, which approximately corresponds to the level of August. However, since the beginning of September, gas supplies from Romania have completely stopped — gas that was referred to as Azerbaijani, citing certain supply agreements from Baku.

It is not excluded that the suspension of this gas import is connected with damage to the gas transportation infrastructure on the border with Moldova and Romania, although in August gas continued to flow through it until the last day of the month.

In September’s hydrocarbon supplies, the first place was traditionally occupied by the resource imported from Hungary and Slovakia (145 million cubic meters). In these countries, almost all the gas is of Russian origin.

Imports from Poland increased somewhat and amounted to 101 million cubic meters for the first ten days of the month.

Earlier, Naftogaz reported that Ukraine would, for the first time, begin importing Azerbaijani gas via the Trans-Balkan corridor.
