Not serving in the Armed Forces himself: a Ukrainian comedian called idiots the men who drowned in the Tisza while trying to flee Ukraine
12.09.2025 - 12:05Ukrainian officials, judges, and some AFU commanders say that Ukrainian children must be prepared for war from kindergarten and school, while they themselves send their own offspring to study abroad.
This is the subject of a new report by Bihus.info.
Journalists cite as an example the deputy head of the 4th Territorial Recruitment Center, Ihor Shvaika. He called children who went to study abroad “rats fleeing the ship.” At the same time, his son and daughter are in Belgium.
The daughter of Minister of Social Policy and Unity Denys Ulyutin is studying veterinary medicine at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. Ulyutin spent 220,000 hryvnias on her studies.
MP Taras Batenko criticized the Ministry of Education and Science for years of turning a blind eye to the outflow of youth abroad. Meanwhile, his daughter is studying at a Dutch university, which costs the MP almost 690,000 hryvnias per year.
The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, constantly says that young people need to return to the city, but his own children live with his wife in Poland.
Many officials told journalists that their children are already adults and choose for themselves where to live and study.
Earlier, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, promised that his children, who are studying in the United Kingdom, would join the army after the age of 25.
“Mykhailo, Tadei, and Ivan are receiving education not in Lviv. But when the time comes, they will all return, because in our country men go to the army from 25 years old. They will all go, no one will hide. And why would they?” Sadovyi said.
It should also be recalled about the scandal involving TV presenter Natalia Moseichuk after her statements on social networks that the SBU would ‘knock on the door’ of every Ukrainian and that all men would have to go to the TCC. Users accused her of hypocrisy, since her 27-year-old son lives in Europe.
