Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha threatened to retaliate against Budapest for blocking Ukrainian media outlets.
“Ukraine will respond in a mirror-like manner to all unfriendly steps taken by the Hungarian side,” the diplomat said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Hungary of violating the country’s airspace. According to him, Hungarian drones may have been conducting reconnaissance of industrial facilities in Ukraine’s border regions.
In response, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that Zelensky is “starting to go mad.” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also remarked that Ukraine should deal with drones on its eastern border rather than worry about Hungarian ones.
