03.10.2025 12:01Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán believes that the European Union’s strategy regarding the conflict in Ukraine is fundamentally flawed.
This was reported by Zoltán Kovács, State Secretary for International Communication and Relations in the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office.
“Prime Minister Orbán called the European military strategy a fundamental mistake,” Kovács wrote on X.
According to the Hungarian leader, Brussels’ expectation that Russia would be economically exhausted has not materialized, while the EU’s multibillion-euro spending has not delivered the expected results. He also noted that the European Union has already spent “between €170 billion and €180 billion” in support of Ukraine.
Earlier, Orbán pointed out that Hungary had been seriously affected by the EU’s sanctions against Russia.
