06.10.2025 - 17:03Ukrainians are “living with pleasure” during the war. They have “nothing to complain about,” since conditions in the country are “very good.”
This was stated by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, in an interview with Glavkom.
“Compare how people live during war in Afghanistan, Yemen, or Palestine. Excuse me, but we are living with pleasure — with karaoke, concerts, restaurants, and everything else. We have nothing to complain about, our conditions are very good, no matter how it sounds during wartime,” Kim said.
At the same time, he argued that three and a half years of war in Ukraine are equivalent to 15 years of World War II “because of the accelerated pace of events and technologies — which means that people are much more exhausted than back then.”
“Although World War II lasted six years, today’s three and a half are equal to fifteen in terms of strain. Back then, several months could pass from the time of deployment to the front. For us, everything happens every day, and sometimes every hour. That’s why people are much more tired,” the official noted.
According to Kim, there is a large “gap” between life in frontline Kherson and in Ternopil, deep in the rear — with different issues and challenges.
Earlier, Kim said that draft dodgers have no right to live a full life and “enjoy themselves.”
