A truck driver ended up in intensive care after ‘voluntary’ mobilization at a checkpoint

A truck driver, after “voluntarily undergoing a military medical commission (MMC),” ended up in intensive care unconscious.

This was reported by his sister, Tatyana Kanava, on her Facebook page.

“My brother, Oleksandr Donets, on September 23, 2025, was transporting cargo in his work vehicle from Cherkasy to Poland and was stopped in Khmelnytskyi region, in the town of Letychiv, at a checkpoint by police and employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). According to the police employees of the town of Letychiv, he voluntarily underwent an MMC. After passing the voluntary MMC, he is in the Khmelnytskyi regional hospital in the intensive care unit unconscious. When he was brought to the hospital, he was without documents and clothing, the vehicle disappeared. But in the hospital he was identified as Oleksandr Donets,” she wrote.

“I ask for publicity so that the authorities do not close this case. I am attaching a photo of the voluntary passing of the MMC,” Tatyana added.

Earlier, after a meeting with military commissariat employees, a man from Sumy region also ended up in the hospital.

The TRC confirmed that a local resident, delivered by its employees, was hospitalized, but not due to violence by subordinates, but because of “signs of epilepsy.”

It should be recalled that since 2022, at least 25 men have died after being detained by military commissariat employees.
