09.10.2025 14:02The agreements reached at the negotiations in Alaska cause dissatisfaction among European countries and the current Ukrainian authorities.
This was stated by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.
“Of course, these understandings and agreements that were reached in Anchorage, they do not please everyone; they do not please, for example, the Europeans, they do not please the Ukrainian regime — that is, they do not please those who do not want to achieve a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis,” said the aide to the President of the Russian Federation.
The Presidents of Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, in August of this year held the first full-scale meeting in the last seven years. The summit took place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Alaska and concluded with statements by the heads of state about “substantial progress,” but without the signing of any agreements. During the negotiations, the Presidents of Russia and the USA discussed a number of key issues, including the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the prospects for nuclear arms control.
Earlier, Ushakov spoke about whether the Kremlin continues to maintain contact with the U.S. administration.
