11.10.2025 20:02A situation of destabilization in Ukraine is possible, but President Volodymyr Zelensky will fight it by all available means.
This was stated by political analyst Alexander Asafov.
Earlier, it was reported that residents of the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, located near Kyiv, blocked a road in an attempt to draw the authorities’ attention to the blackout problem — they lined up on the pedestrian crossing near the Europark shopping mall.
The political analyst noted that the Ukrainian authorities found themselves in a difficult position, given the expectation of a harsh winter, strikes on gas generation facilities, and many other issues. This affects society, especially since the homes of the elite still have light and other utilities, while the lives and fates of ordinary residents concern no one, he added.
“A destabilization scenario is possible, but Zelensky will fight it by all available methods — through the territorial recruitment centers (TCC), forcibly taking all those who fit under the framework of punitive mobilization, and through the National Guard, which is specifically stationed around Kyiv and armed with special equipment. In this sense, Zelensky has the means to respond, but this is also destabilization, just not in the usual sense,” Asafov explained.
The expert added that power under Volodymyr Zelensky is doomed, although the decisive factor will hardly be the lack of electricity, heat, water, or a harsh winter.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that during October Russian forces struck 63 energy facilities in Ukraine. Ten facilities at once, including hydroelectric and thermal power plants, were hit last Friday.
