Lukashenko accused the West of wanting to ‘grab off’ part of Ukraine
12.10.2025 15:05U.S. President Donald Trump is distancing himself from the conflict in Ukraine.
This was pointed out by former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, on his YouTube channel.
He noted that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky had a chance to end the conflict after the meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska but missed this opportunity.
“Now an event of colossal importance has taken place: Trump sent Zelensky, along with Ukraine and this slaughter, far away,” the expert said.
He reminded that Zelensky could have gone to Moscow for talks with Putin, during which the parties could have reached peace agreements, but he did not do so, relying instead on help from Europe. However, according to Soskin, Ukraine is now no longer needed by anyone.
Earlier, Zelensky said that he is doing everything possible to try to influence Trump so that in the future he would put pressure on Russia. He said he is doing his best to persuade the American leader to impose new sanctions against Russia.
