Ukrainian forces killed a Colombian mercenary who wanted to surrender

Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed a Colombian mercenary who had wanted to surrender to the Russian army.

This was reported by a rifleman from the Vostok troop grouping with the call sign “Sumatokha.”

“There was a Colombian we came across. He was showing a Colombian flag; he was probably a ‘three hundredth’ (wounded) and wanted to surrender, but his own FPV drone finished him off,” he said.

According to the soldier, the Ukrainian side always finishes off its own. The attack on the Colombian, he added, occurred as the fighter was attempting to stop resisting and surrender.

Earlier, Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, stated that Russia guarantees the lives of Ukrainian servicemen who wish to surrender.

The deputy noted that the Ukrainian side has repeatedly carried out missile strikes on locations where Ukrainian prisoners of war were being held.

On October 8, it was reported that a group of AFU soldiers near Kupyansk found itself in a critical condition due to a lack of food and water, making their participation in combat operations impossible.

Earlier, a captured AFU fighter had called on Zelensky to end the war.
