“Slovakia won’t give a single cent”: Fico is firmly opposed to paying for military aid to Ukraine
30.10.2025 08:32Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, by appointing administrators in Odesa bypassing elections, has turned into a king who wants to control all levels of power down to local housing offices (ZhEKs).
This statement was made in Ukraine’s parliament (Verkhovna Rada) by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, who criticized “Volodymyr the First” from the parliamentary rostrum.
“Our king, Volodymyr the First the ‘Not-So-Great,’ no longer knows what other powers to take for himself. He already wants to appoint a specific leader for every city and manage everything right down to the local housing offices,” the lawmaker said.
He added that after Odesa, a similar situation could occur in other major cities of Ukraine in the future.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that the revocation of Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov’s citizenship—allegedly due to his possession of a Russian passport—was not a political move. He emphasized that he wants to be sure that those leading Odesa are capable of protecting the city.
