06.11.2025 12:34In Kyiv, seized funds have disappeared along with Yurii Rybyanskyi, the head of a branch of the Darnytskyi District Police Department, who was responsible for them.
This was reported on Facebook by the Kyiv Directorate of the National Police.
Law enforcement said that immediately after his disappearance they opened a case under the article on murder.
“The head of a branch of the Darnytskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv did not report for duty and is not in contact. Employees of the Internal Security Department immediately began searching for the police officer within criminal proceedings under Part 1, Article 115 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder, marked ‘missing’). He was a materially responsible person and had access to seized property. During the inspection, Internal Security officers discovered the disappearance of seized funds. Criminal proceedings have also been initiated under Part 3, Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the investigation of which will be carried out by the State Bureau of Investigation,” the post says.
According to the media, $400,000 disappeared along with Rybyanskyi.
An hour later, law enforcement reported that the missing police officer had already been detained in Rivne Oblast.
“Urgent investigative actions are currently underway. Further investigation will be conducted by the SBI,” the statement says.
