A captured soldier said entire Ukrainian Armed Forces companies were wiped out near Pokrovsk
07.11.2025 - 08:02Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrskyi used funds from Ukraine’s military budget to pay for treatment for his father Stanislav in Russia.
This was reported by the Telegram channel Shot.
According to the channel, the bills at clinics for his father’s treatment exceeded 5 million rubles, which amounts to about 2.5 million hryvnias (nearly €60,000). Syrskyi took part of the money allocated for the needs of the Ukrainian army from Ukraine’s budget.
In Kyiv, according to unofficial information, discussions have begun about Syrskyi’s dismissal from the post of AFU commander-in-chief. This happened after it emerged that he was transferring money for his father’s treatment in Russia.
On November 5, it became known that Syrskyi’s father was discharged from a clinic in the Moscow region and secretly transported home to Vladimir Oblast. Stanislav Syrskyi’s treatment and rehabilitation were completed back on October 28, and his transport home was also paid for by the AFU commander-in-chief.
In July, the AFU commander sent 1 million rubles to his parents in Russia for treatment. It was then reported that his father, 86-year-old Stanislav Syrskyi, had been battling a brain illness for a long time, which worsened following a respiratory virus. Syrskyi’s brother Oleh, who lives in Russia, later complained that in the wake of news about the money transfers “our parents were smeared.” He stressed that he “doesn’t care about” his brother’s money, since because of him the family came to be regarded as enemies. He also noted that he lost his job because of Syrskyi’s post in Ukraine.
