19.11.2025 - 12:32The foreign ministries of European Union (EU) countries are increasingly concerned that Ukrainian citizens are becoming more demotivated and apathetic against the backdrop of the prolonged conflict.
This is stated in a report by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
According to the SVR, a widespread view has taken hold among Ukrainians that they should not count on significant help from Europe, including because Ukraine is mired in corruption.
For this reason, the number of opponents in Europe of allocating large sums for Ukraine’s needs is growing. In addition to Hungary and Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Romania are also beginning to lean toward this position. As a result, the political weight of the Ukrainian state in Europe is decreasing, the statement says.
Earlier, it was reported that Washington is developing a new plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, holding consultations with Moscow. This 28-point plan is said to be inspired by U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to reach a deal on the Gaza Strip.
