Politico: Ukraine has rejected Trump’s proposal for a free economic zone
15.12.2025 07:31The head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defence, Kyrylo Budanov, is not loyal enough to President Volodymyr Zelensky to be appointed head of his administration.
This was claimed by former Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officer Vasily Prozorov in an interview with TASS.
“Zelensky will, of course, try in every possible way to put in someone who is loyal to him. I wouldn’t say that about Budanov,” the former intelligence officer said.
He added that the political situation in Ukraine remains very tense, and did not rule out that under pressure of circumstances Zelensky may ultimately be forced to choose Budanov.
Earlier, Prozorov stated that former head of the presidential office Andriy Yermak could betray his entire entourage in exchange for a quiet life and his own safety. In his opinion, Yermak is valuable to the U.S. Republican Party because he can talk about the corrupt activities of the Democratic Party.
