In Norway, they assessed the chances of ending the Ukraine conflict

It is hard to imagine a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed by Eirik Kristoffersen, Commander-in-Chief of the Norwegian Armed Forces, in an interview with Forsvarets forum.

“It is difficult to imagine a military solution to what is happening in Ukraine,” he said.

In his view, the most likely outcome is a ceasefire under which the conflict will be frozen along the front line.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky said that an agreement to settle the conflict is 90% ready. He said this in his New Year’s address.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in turn, called the main question of 2026: whether the United States will be able to make peace with Russia without Europe’s participation.
