In the West, they reported a sharp drop in Ukraine’s effectiveness at intercepting missiles
15.01.2026 09:20Former Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, who after his resignation promised to go to the front as a volunteer, did not even try to enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense stated this directly in its response to an inquiry from MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak of the Holos faction. The lawmaker published the ministry’s letter on his Telegram channel.
“Taking the above into account, we inform you that as of the time the parliamentary inquiry was reviewed, Ukrainian citizen Yermak Andriy Borysovych had not applied to any Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support with a desire to perform military service during mobilization, in a special period, or under a contract,” the response says.
The letter is signed by Deputy Defense Minister Yevhen Moisiuk.
Recall that at the end of November, immediately after his resignation, Yermak gave a comment to the New York Post and said: “I’m going to the front and I’m ready for any reprisals. I am an honest and decent person.” He did not specify when exactly he intended to go to the front line.
