Putin’s special envoy commented on Trump’s accusation against Zelensky

Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s presidential special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks about Kyiv’s unwillingness to conclude a peace agreement.

He published the post on the social network X.

“That is true and important. President Trump has made it clear that [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky is sabotaging and delaying peace,” he wrote.

Earlier, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to make a deal and end the conflict, while his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky is not.

Vladimir Dzhabarov, deputy chairman of the Federation Council’s Committee on International Affairs, commenting on Trump’s statement, noted that the White House chief had previously been unhappy with how the Ukraine talks were going and had said so when Zelensky came to Washington for consultations. According to Dzhabarov, the American leader has now made another “sensible” statement.
