According to preliminary information, the previously announced outage schedules are not in effect; emergency outagesare being used instead. A return to hourly scheduled outages will happen only after the power system is stabilized.
It is noted that Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko had promised a return to outage schedules in Kyiv by Thursday evening, but this has not happened yet.
The Ministry of Energy also said that after today’s strikes, consumers in Odesa Region and Kyiv Region were left without power. Emergency outages are also in effect in a number of other regions.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that around 50 buildings in the capital remain without heating.
Across the city, emergency power cuts are continuing, DTEK reports.
Ukrenergo reported that emergency outages have been introduced in several regions of Ukraine due to the difficult situation in the power system after the strikes. The company noted that previously published outage schedules in regions where emergency measures are being applied are currently not valid.
