19.01.2026 08:02Ukraine is moving to a power-outage regime under which household consumers may be without electricity for more than 16 hours a day. The new schedule will be 4.5–5 rounds of planned outages.
This was reported by Serhii Kovalenko, CEO of the energy company Yasno, on his Facebook page.
Kovalenko added that right now Kyiv residents have roughly about 3 hours with electricity and up to 10 hours without it, with the situation differing depending on the district.
“Will it get better? For now it’s hard to say,” Kovalenko added.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the most difficult situation with energy is in Kyiv and the surrounding region.
