“Very positive”: Witkoff assessed the talks with the Kremlin’s special envoy in Davos

U.S. President’s special representative Steven Witkoff said that he assesses the talks with the Kremlin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev in Davos as “very positive.”

Witkoff said this while answering the corresponding question from journalists.

The meeting between Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner with the Kremlin’s special representative took place today in the U.S. pavilion in Davos. The Russian press wrote that the sides would discuss the peace plan on Ukraine.

Earlier, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov stated that he has restrained optimism regarding the end of the war in Ukraine.

As Media wrote, talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations took place in Miami over the weekend. It was reported that the sides agreed to continue work at the team level at the next stage of consultations in Davos.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he will not go to the World Economic Forum in Davos, because right now he is allegedly choosing Ukraine, not international forums.
