In Kyiv, 100 more buildings are still without heating after the February 12 attack

In Kyiv, about 100 residential buildings are still without heat out of the 2,600 apartment blocks that lost district heating as a result of an enemy attack on the capital’s infrastructure on February 12.

This was reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

According to him, municipal services have already restored the heat supply to 2,500 buildings and are continuing work to bring heating back to the remaining ones.

Klitschko reminded residents that more than 1,100 buildings in the Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi districts are still without heat after earlier shelling. It is currently impossible to restore heating there due to critical damage to the Darnytsia Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP).

Earlier, Klitschko said that because of massive Russian strikes over the past two months, Kyiv is on the brink of catastrophe.

Specialists examined the nature of the damage at the Darnytska plant in Kyiv and compiled a list of more than 1,100 apartment blocks that will remain without heating until the facility is restored.
